S Club 7 became popular in the late 90s and early 2000s. The group planned to go on tour for their 25th anniversary, however, life had other plans. Despite the tragedy that hit the group earlier this year, the pop band is still going ahead with their UK tour.

The tour may be going ahead, but S Club 7 won’t be the same as the 90s group so many people loved. The group has suffered a tragic loss and due to this, another member has decided to leave the group as things have gotten too hard.
S Club 7 has changed its name
On April 6, S Club 7 was hit with the news that founding member, Paul Cattermole, had died at just 47 years old.
The singer’s cause of death is still unknown as of now. He was found in his dome in Dorset. His family released a statement:
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved son and brother Paul Cattermole.

Paul, 46, was found yesterday, 6 April 2023 at his home in Dorset and was pronounced dead later that afternoon.
The pop band renamed itself S Club as there will only be 5 members instead of 7, after Paul's death and the fact that Hannah Spearitt has dropped out of the tour, therefore making the original name redundant.

Hannah Spearitt has left S Club 7
It was announced on S Club’s Instagram that Hannah Spearitt would not be on tour with the rest of the group. On their page, the group explained:
You've probably noticed that there are only five of us here today and, although Hannah will always be part of S Club 7, she won't be joining us on this tour.
We wish her all the best for the future.
It hasn’t been announced why Hannah decided to step away from the tour. However, we do know that the former pop star has been going through some financial hardship recently. Indeed Spearitt was made homeless around Christmas 2022 and has been declared bankrupt in the past.
