Stacey McClean after S Club Juniors
Stacey continued with her music career after S Club 8 split up in 2005. Four years later, she appeared on the 2009 series of The X Factor. She made it from auditions to bootcamp and all the way to the top 6 girls in Dannii Minogue’s category, fighting it out for a place on the live shows. However, she fell at the last hurdle after her rendition of Britney Spears track Sometimes failed to impress Dannii and Kylie enough.
After working as a receptionist for talkSPORT, Stacey went on to join ‘ultimate pop group’ G*Mania made up of 11 former reality stars including X Factor 2009’s Rikki Loney, Britain’s Got Talent’s Shaun Smith and Pop Stars—The Rivals’ Emma Beard. The supergroup toured the UK for six months in 2010-2011 with a Glee-style song-and-dance show.
Towards the end of 2012, Stacey also joined up with ex-bandmates Daisy Evans, Aaron Renfree and Jay Asforis to reform S Club Juniors. More recently, in November 2021, she joined up with former S Club 7 members Tina Barrett and Bradley McIntosh to form S Club Allstars—the S Club party really don’t stop!
