Girls Aloud star Sarah Harding, who is suffering from breast cancer, was told by her doctor that Christmas 2020 would ‘probably’ be her last. The heartbreaking revelation comes in an extract from the 39-year-old’s upcoming memoir Hear Me Out which was published in The Times this weekend.

Sharing how she is dealing with her illness, Sarah wrote:
I don't want an exact prognosis. I don't know why anyone would want that. Comfort and being as pain-free as possible is what's important to me now. I'm trying to live and enjoy every second of my life, however long it might be.
Sarah Harding’s breast cancer diagnosis
Sarah was diagnosed with breast cancer last year which has sadly spread to other parts of her body. In another extract from her memoir, Sarah shared that she put off going to the doctors about the painful lump on her breast amid the coronavirus pandemic, instead trying to treat the pain with painkillers.
She wrote:
One day I woke up realising that I'd been in denial. Yes, there was a lockdown, yes, there was a pandemic, but it was almost as if I'd been using that as an excuse not to face up to the fact that something was very wrong. I called and spoke to someone at the local hospital. A woman asked me exactly how many painkillers I'd taken, and when I told her, she told me I needed to go to A&E.
Sarah Harding’s memoir Hear Me Out
Sarah’s memoir, Hear Me Out is set to be released on Thursday 18th March. The book is named after the song Sarah wrote for Girls Aloud’s second album. Over 320 pages, the book explores Sarah’s life story, showing the ‘real’ Sarah behind ‘the frocks and hairdos, the big chart hits, and the glamour of being a popstar.’
