Whilst the parents of the two stars are apparently delighted, we expected a less happy reaction from Justin's ex, Selena Gomez. Though the starlet did not personally comment on this news, a source close to her told US Weekly 'she doesn't care.'
'The last time they broke up allowed her to get over him fully,' added the source.
Engagement by default?
Separated since the beginning of 2018, we've gotten used to Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez breaking up only to get back together again. Though they have been on and off since 2011, the two exes seem to have finally moved on for good.
On social networks, Selena seems to be totally relaxed: having a good time with her friends and enjoying the summer as she should.
Her personal assistant, Theresa Marie Mingus, posted a picture of Selena Gomez and her friend lounging on the deck chairs of a boat.
Whilst she seems to be totally chilled about her ex's big news, the American site Hollywood Life reports that Justin Bieber has proposed to Hailey so quickly to get to Selena: 'he does that to make her jealous, or to prove to him that he is really ready to engage with someone else,' reports a close friend of the singer.
Another source close to Justin has suggested that he was torn by his family who weren't supportive of his relationship with Selena Gomez.
'Not wanting to suffer this all his life, he preferred to find love with someone else,' the source told Hollywood Life.
