Shannen Doherty claims Kurt Iswarienko is waiting for her to die

Doherty and Iswarienko are still battling out their divorce in court following the chaotic split. In a shocking turn of events, Doherty has claimed that her ex-husband is trying to prolong the divorce settlement and hoping she dies soon so that he doesn’t have to pay her. Documents obtained by People Magazine reveal that Doherty has still not received many of her requests for financial information regarding Iswarienko’s earnings.

The 53-year-old believes that Iswarienko is delaying the divorce process as he knows Doherty is progressively getting sick from her terminal cancer. She stated in docs:

It is simply not right that Kurt be permitted to prolong our divorce in hopes that I die before he is required to pay me while he continues to live his life and shirk his responsibilities to his dying wife of more than 11 years.

The Let’s Be Clearpodcast host is requesting $15,434 per month in spousal support from the photographer. She added that she will soon lose her SAG health insurance from not working and her Charmed residuals are decreasing. Meanwhile, Iswarienko’s lawyers have responded to claims and said:

Kurt is not ‘simply wait[ing] for Shannen to die. He wants the best for Shannen and he wants both of them to be able to put this case behind them and move forward.

Shannen Doherty’s life as she battles stage 4 breast cancer

Amidst her ongoing battle with breast cancer, Doherty recently shared on her podcast that she’s getting rid of a lot of her material items. According to Today, she’s doing so to make things easier for her mother and also to make some money. Selling these possessions will help her repurpose the money in more meaningful ways. However, she will not ‘dig into the money that’s in my estate’ because that’s ‘going to make sure that everybody in my life is taken care of once I’m dead.’

Apart from selling her possessions, the actress has also stated that she still wants to work but ‘others just want to put you out to pasture.’ She said in an interview with Elle Magazine:

It’s like anybody with stage 4 faces this sort of thing, where others want to put you out to pasture. I’m not ready for pasture. I’ve got a lot of life in me.
