Sharon Stone stuns fans in a new photo on Instagram: ‘I would like to look this good at 66’

Sharon Stone recently posted a smashing picture on Instagram that reminded the world she’s still a beauty queen even if she may not be a Hollywood superstar anymore.

Sharon Stone took Hollywood and the world for a ride in the 90s when she stood up for a cause that has been very stigmatised. At the peak of her career, in May 1995, she was approached by Dr. Mathilde Krim, founder of the American Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR) to be their celebrity spokesperson. She was at the Cannes Film Festival plugging her new movie, The Quick and the Dead when she was made the offer.

Despite being warned about the consequences of associating herself with the cause, Sharon took the opportunity and became the celebrity spokesperson for the next two decades.

Since then Sharon has been known for being daring and brave. A trait she still hangs on to closely today.

Sharon Stone goes topless in recent Instagram post

In her most recent move, Sharon posted a picture on Instagram on 10 July that took the internet by storm. After Elizabeth Hurley’s watermelon-shaped pool float video, Sharon’s recent post is the next in line for being age-defying.

The 66-year-old went topless in the post while painting as she flaunted her bare back only weaning a tiny blue bikini bottom. She captioned the picture and wrote:

Sometimes I just have to go from pool to painting

This isn’t the first time Sharon has posted in just a bikini bottom - here’s what we are talking about. Many fans flocked to the comment section of the bold Instagram post and praised her for her timeless beauty. One said:

Why am I 32 and you look SO MUCH better than me 😭

Another two added:

When I was a young girl and saw basic instinct, I thought you were one of the most beautiful women that existed! Still the same after all these years! Totally iconic!

Sharon Stone opens up about her stroke

Sharon Stone has certainly putting herself in the spotlight as she gave an exclusive and intimate interview with The Hollywood Reporter, which was published on 9 July.

She opened up about many of the experiences she had—from her risky move becoming amfAR's spokesperson, to struggles of working with Harvey Weinstein, and finally how she lost $18 million while recovering from a stroke that almost ended her life.

Indeed in 2001, Sharon suffered from a debilitating stroke. Then-43 years old, Sharon was rushed to the hospital after suffering a brain hemorrhage that lasted for nine days and was given a 1% chance of survival. Sharon explained that her life completely changed after that experience.

After the traumatic experience, it took Sharon 7 years to fully recover. During that time, she revealed, many people took advantage of her. Sharon said:

I had $18 million saved because of all my success, but when I got back into my bank account, it was all gone. My refrigerator, my phone — everything was in other people’s names.
I had zero money.

However, the star bounced back from that and ‘let go’ as she knew she was still made for greater things. According to The Independent, she has appeared in many films since her stroke including Catwoman, Lovelace, The Laundromat and Agent X. The stroke may have made her ‘lose her place in the business,’ but she’s definitely making her space again.
