Simon Cowell’s lifestyle changes after e-bike accident
Simon Cowell revealed that he was close to ‘living in a wheelchair,’ after his electric bike accident 3 years ago. The accident, however tragic, gave Simon a ‘completely different outlook on life,’ reported MailOnline.
Since his accident, Simon has lost 3 stones and has gradually ditched smoking over the years. It is understood that at one point, the star used to smoke 80 cigarettes a day. The August 2020 accident almost left him paralysed as the star underwent a 6-hour surgery including having a metal rod put in his back.
The music mogul felt ‘completely helpless’ but the accident led him to realise that his health was more important than anything else.
The realisation saw Simon establish a better work-life balance. According to MailOnline, the BGT star wants to cut down ‘stress’ in life for which he avoids work calls after 6 pm. He said:
Reducing the stress in my life is my number one priority now.
I'm very lucky to have my job, but it comes with a lot of stress. I try to not bring that stress into our home so I now have a cut-off time of 6pm, after which I refuse to take phone calls.
This comes after MailOnline also confirmed that the star ensures to start his business meetings after 9 am now as opposed to his previous early-morning conferences. The BGT judge who denies getting a facelift has regular sleeping and exercise habits.
Simon walks a minimum of 40 miles a week to ensure his good health.

Simon Cowell and his strict diet
Simon has also immensely changed his diet over the years, confirmed Hello Magazine. Reportedly, the star went to a dietician in Harley Street and that changed his life. He said:
I did see a doctor in Harley Street. He specialises in a certain kind of diet.
He did my blood work and pee and all the rest of it, and a month later the results came in and his words were, ‘You have the worst diet out of all the clients I have ever seen in my life — you have a schoolboy's diet from the 1960s.
It was just pies. So he sent me a list of things I can't eat, and that included red meat, dairy, sugar and gluten. And I pretty much stuck to it.
Simon revealed that he eats a green smoothie and no-sugar Alpen every day, along with tea and oat milk in the morning and grilled tomatoes and soup for lunch.
Additionally, Simon revealed that he’s not a ‘big eater’ anymore and doesn’t eat outside at dinners. Instead, he has baked beans on toast and enjoys a beer at dinner. His favourite drink is Skinny Lager which only has 89 calories per bottle.
