Dancing Spice
Mel C recently pulled out of a gig in Poland over New Year’s Eve due to personal issues. And after her backing out of the gig mid-way, Mirror reports she may be swapping her career.
Internationally renowned dancer and choreographer Jules Cunningham is going to premier their latest Sadler’s Wells commission ‘How Did We Get Here?’ this month. The show which will run from January 19 to January 29 will star Spice Girl, Mel C and dancer Harry Alexander.
This on-stage performance with Harry is going to shift Mel C’s career in a huge way as she’s set to take part in an intimate stage performance with him.
What’s Mel C doing now?
Mel C is arguably one of the most successful female artists in the UK. After quitting the band and going solo, Mel C struggled to find herself. US Weekly confirms, she tried a bunch of things in order to discover herself. She founded her own label - Red Girl Records – in 2004.
Stage musical Blood Brothers was Mel C’s acting debut that happened in 2009. The Guardian reports that Mel C took years to find herself and it didn’t happen until 2019 – the year of the band’s reunion tour. She said:
I am enough. I’m doing this incredible thing and I’ve had this incredible career: it’s time to really accept every little bit of me, even the shit bits.
In 2021, Mel C was announced as a contestant on Dancing with Stars and then released a new album in 2022.
