Gorka Marquez has been a professional dancer for BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing since 2016. In 2017, he met Gemma Atkinson, a former actress and now a radio presenter, who was paired with Aljaž Škorjanec. Gemma was known for playing Lisa Hunter in Hollyoaks.

Soon after Strictly, Gorka and Gemma’s relationship bloomed and they announced a year later that they were in a relationship. It has now been six years and the two are now engaged and have two children, with the last being born in July 2023.
The couple has recently shared some big news but there have been rumours that the parents-of-two have been going through a ‘rough patch’ in their relationship.

Before you get all excited, no the couple are not having a third child. As per Express, Gorka and Gemma’s big news is that they are filming a second series to their show Life Behind the Lens.
The couple has previously released a documentary about their daily lives and they are inviting fans into their home once again later this year when the second series comes out.
The new series will see them adapting to becoming a family of four after welcoming a son in July 2023. The series will be in 6 parts and will show Gorka and Gemma’s lives unfiltered. Both Gemma and Gorka have expressed how excited they are about the new series.
As per Express, they said:
The messages we received, and are still receiving from the first series, have blown us away. We’re glad so many families can relate to ours and the crazy, wonderful, and exhausting world of parenthood!
In the new series, fans will be able to see the end of Gemma’s maternity leave as well as a trip to Gorka’s hometown in Spain. It will also document the release of Gemma’s latest children’s book.

Rumours have been circling that Gemma and Gorka have been going through a ‘rough patch’ as per Express, due to Gorka’s new job as a judge on the Spanish version of Strictly Come Dancing.
Rumours suggest that the couple has been struggling to adapt to Gorka’s new schedule and the fact he is often away from home. However, the former Hollyoaks star has slammed the rumours and assured fans they are fine.
Gemma had been asked about the rumours, and in response, she said:
Yes we did see them stories. There was a few floating around weren't there, which is news to us. It is what it is, isn't it? Happens all the time dunnit. It's not true.
Gemma continued to debunk the rumours after she shared a post from Gorka of the two of them sharing a meal, with the comment:
