Dog or Wonder Woman: who replaces the ex-wife?
Sylvester Stallone had expressed to change the tattoo of his estranged wife, Jennifer Flavin, to a picture of Wonder Woman, reveals his tattoo artist.
For the unversed, Sly Stallone, as he is fondly called, had tattooed Flavin’s face on his right bicep from back in 2007.
However, according to tattoo artist Mike DeVries’s interview to People magazine, the actor had plans of getting it modified to Wonder Woman’s face before finally settling with a tribute to his late dog and Rocky co-star Butkus.
‘I already knew that he wanted to do something, because last year he emailed me, called me, and we discussed talking about making Jennifer Flavin into [Wonder Woman],’
The cover-up
The story of Stallone covering up his wife’s face on his right arm went viral when fans noticed it in an Instagram post, speculating then if the 25 years of marriage between them was over.
For damage control, which ultimately amounted to nothing, Stallone’s representative told Daily Mail at the time that the star had only ‘intended to refresh the tattoo image of his wife’ but the results ended up being ‘unsatisfactory and, unfortunately, unfixable’.
The divorce filing
For those of you who are not in the know, former model Jennifer Flavin filed for divorce from Stallone just last month after 25 years of togetherness. The couple shares three daughters together.
Flavin filed a petition for ‘dissolution of marriage and other relief’ in Florida on August 19, as per court documents obtained by TMZ.
Jennifer Flavin has asked to stay in their 35 million USD home and also accused the actor in her court filings of hiding marital assets, as reported by ET, and that he should be forbidden from ‘selling, transferring, assigning, encumbering, or dissipating any assets during the pendency of proceedings’.
A part of the divorce papers read, as stated by ET in their report, as:
‘The marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken'
Stallone stated to People at the time of the filing:
‘I love my family. We are amicably and privately addressing these personal issues.’
