Details of the Cornelia Street home
The house dates back to 1870, wherein it was built as a carriage house. Over time, it was renovated and restored to host multiple modern amenities. Covering a total of three stories, the 5,500 square feet home is an embodiment of carefully calculated luxuries.
Accents such as floor-to-ceiling casement windows and an open floor plan in certain areas of the home fill the living spaces with tons of air and light. Thus, making it the perfect place to create art and music. With multiple gardens, a fantastic rooftop terrace with seating, and a gorgeous indoor swimming pool, the home has it all. Offering a breathtaking view of the downtown area, the patio is perfect for lounging or soaking in some sun. Two of the bedrooms also come with the bonus of walk-in closets and their own private terraces.
Taylor’s history with the house
Taylor Swift spent a ton of time in the four-bedroom, seven-bathroom house in 2016, while her Tribeca townhouse was getting a makeover. As per Architecture Digest, the home was an inspiration for Taylor’s hit song Cornelia Street, as she recalls memories of this home while she allegedly entered into a new relationship with Joe Alwyn. Swift and Alwyn, are still rumoured to be seeing each other.
