If you are an Osbourne super fan, we are afraid you will have to wait a bit longer to see them on your TV screens again. Although the BBC shared a deal signed with the family in September 2022 for a camera crew to follow them around during their move back to England, in a reality TV show called Home to Roost, it seems the project has been put on hold so far due to several reasons.

First, the Osbournes seem to be stuck with their LA house, as no buyer is interested at the moment. The Daily Mail argues the Osbournes are blaming the 'terrible' real estate market for not being able to sell their LA home. Also, sources close to the couple implied the family does not want to leave everything behind, as was planned but would like to keep a place in California. Finally, the couple's home in the UK is currently under renovation, to make sure that Ozzy, who has Parkinson's disease and suffers from Covid complications, may live comfortably.

The Osbournes may be having second thoughts

According to the Daily Mail, the BBChas yet to shoot much of anything for the documentary, which was announced almost a year ago. At the time, the BBC promised the series would show the Osbournes celebrating one of their most important years.

The series will follow the Osbournes as they celebrate one of their most important years yet – with everything from Sharon’s 70th birthday to Kelly’s soon-to-be-born baby, Ozzy’s tour, and of course the big move itself.

It is now doubtful that the documentary will take place at all. Indeed, Sharon Osbourne's 70th birthday was in October 2022, Kelly's child was born in March 2023, and Ozzy has cancelled his tour due to health problems, including his Parkinson's diagnosis and Covid complications.

Ozzy Osbourne might not want to move after all

In August 2022, following an interview from Sharon Osbourne saying she had to convince him to move back to the UK, Ozzy told the Guardianhe was rather happy about the move, and getting fed up with life in America, as it was getting more violent each day.

I'm fed up with people getting killed every day. God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings. And there was that mass shooting in Vegas at that concert… It's f*****g crazy.

He also recognized the UK as the couple's 'home', and said he would follow his wife anywhere, even if it means being away from their three children, and grandchildren.

I'm English. I want to be back. But, saying that, if my wife said we've got to go and live in Timbuktu, I'll go. But, no, it's just time for me to come home.

However, the Daily Mail reports Ozzy himself may not be too sure about the move back to England anymore. Indeed, the article quotes an interview from November 2022, during which the rock star said he feels American now, and may not want to move back to the UK.

To be honest with you, if I had my way, I'd stay in America. I'm American now... to be honest with you, I don't want to go back. F*** that.

Ozzy Osbourne said the show messed up the family 'It sent us crazy'

The Osbourne family was one of the world's most famous reality TV families from 2002 to 2005 with their MTV show called The Osbournes. Looking back, Ozzy Osbourne told the Daily Mail how the show messed with his children's lives, and how he eventually called it quits, otherwise, he thought they might 'lose somebody'.

I don't know how The Kardashians have done it for so long. It sent us crazy at the end.
I am not sorry I did it, but after three or four years I said, "Do you know what, we're going to lose somebody because it is getting too crazy"

He also talked about the impact of the show on his three children's lives, and how they 'all ended up doing drugs'. It seems the show also took its toll on the couple itself, as they struggled with health issues such as addiction and cancer.

They all ended up doing drugs. Jack got clean and sober on that show, Kelly messed up on that show, I was messed up and Sharon got cancer.

It is unknown whether the couple will deliver on their BBC documentary deal, but this is definitely not the last we'll see of our beloved Osbourne family. As Ozzy says, all aboard the crazy train!
