Talks for the film, which could be aired on either Amazon or Netflix, are said to be ‘very advanced’. It’s set to be produced by Lorton Entertainment, the company behind Rooney, a documentary about Coleen’s husband set to be released on Amazon Prime in early 2022. A friend of Coleen’s quoted by The Mirror said:
Coleen has remained quiet ever since that famous online post. But this could all change in what could be the TV event of the year. Viewers would see all the evidence that Coleen has forensically gathered via her online sleuthing and see why she is convinced that Rebekah leaked the stories about her and others. She is minded to get it all out into the pubic domain and let people make their own minds up. Talks are very well advanced.
Who is Coleen Rooney?
Most famous for her marriage to ex-Manchester United star Wayne Rooney, 36-year-old Coleen began her career as a columnist for Closer and has since worked as a presenter and influencer. She and Wayne are parents to four boys: 12-year-old Kai, 8-year-old Klay, 5-year-old Kit and 3-year-old Cass.
In an explosive tweet in October 2019, Coleen accused fellow WAG Rebekah Vardy of leaking information from her private Instagram stories to the press. Rebekah denies this and in June 2020 she launched a defamation lawsuit against Coleen. With the WAGs so far unable to settle their differences outside of court, the case is set to go to the High Court next summer.
