When an actor plays a role in a film, they take on the personality of the character that they are portraying. Strangely, for an audience member, that role is sometimes all we know about the person. It becomes easy to think of the actor as their character, and suddenly the red carpet is full of blonde bimbos or vicious serial killers. It's an odd thing.
