A brief history
Some of the greatest ideas that have changed the world came to fruition on a whim, the inception of Harry Potter is attributed to such a whim. According to Newsweek, J.K. Rowling thought of the idea for her magnum opus on a train to London while she was hunting for apartments. The following evening marked the beginning of the Harry Potter franchise on paper.
Troubled beginnings and impacts
Business Insider reported that Rowling experienced 12 rejections from different publishing houses until her manuscript was finally accepted by Bloomsbury Publishing. Following the release of the first book Harry Potter and the Philosopher's stone in 1997 and the subsequent film in 2001, the franchise gave a pathway for many actors to introduce and enhance their acting prowess and careers. That being said, some actors couldn't see the growth of the magical world that they had helped to build due to their unfortunate passing.
