Richard Harris played Albus Dumbledore in the first movie Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in 2001.

Harris was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s disease in August 2002, and passed away on 25 October at the age of 72.

Sir Johnson Vincent Hurt was Mr. Ollivander, a wandmaker in Diagon Alley from whom Harry buys his first wand.

The actor played Winston Smith in the film 1984. He passed away in 2017 due to complications from pancreatic cancer.

Actor Robert Hardy played Cornelius Furdge, meddlesome Minister of Magic.

Hardy played Winston Churchill in 1982 and has reprised the role across different productions. He died at the age of 91 in 2017.

Griffiths won the Tony Award in 2006 for his role in The History Boys. He passed away at the age of 65 due to heart complications.

Actor Paul Ritter played Eldred Worple, the writer and wizard who lived with vampires and wrote a book about them.

The actor also played the Soviet engineer Anatoly Dyatlov in Chernobyl. He passed away at the age of 54 due to a brain tumor.

Erik Sykes played the Muggle Frank Bryce, who was targeted by Voldemort after Bryce overheard the Dark Lord's nefarious plans.

The actor has had an illustrious career in entertainment for over 50 years. Erik Sykes passed away at the age of 89 in 2012.

Helen McCrory was the mother of Draco Malfoy, the abrasive rival of Harry Potter.

She also played Polly Gray in Peaky Blinders alongside Cillian Murphy. McCrory passed away at the age of 52 due to breast cancer.

Sir Michael Gambon played Dumbledore from The Prisoner of Azkaban to the end of the saga. He died on 28 September 2023.
