In an interview with Pagesix, one of Depp’s friends Gina Deuters told the magazine:
I think there is a part of Amber that [believes] fighting is passion... [Amber] is someone who is always used to getting what she wants.
In addition to this, Deuters also commented upon the actress' strange behaviour on the day of her wedding. Heard asked an unusually bizarre question. She elaborates:
She kind of leaned into me and said, ‘Do you and Stephen ever fight?’ I responded, ‘We sometimes have an argument,’ and she was like, 'No, Gina, like really fight?’ And it was kind of unnerving.
Heard's personality questioned

When attacked for defamation by his ex-wife, the ex-Pirates of the Caribbean star chose to respond to Heard's accusations with a psychological assessment. The medical file noted the presence of ‘dramatic, excessively emotional or unpredictable thoughts or behaviour’. This assessment provided new information for the trial.
