Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash welcomed a baby daughter to the world last week. Born at their home, Pickle Cottage, on Stacey’s 32ndbirthday, she’s the couple’s first girl. The new arrival has four big brothers—Joe’s oldest son Harry, 14, Stacey’s older boys 13-year-old Zachary and nine-year-old Leighton plus two-year-old Rex.

What is Stacey Solomon’s daughter called?
Although Stacey and Joe found out early on that they were expecting a girl, they waited until she was here to decide on a name. After a week of deliberation, Stacey revealed to her Instagram followers on Tuesday that they had chosen to name their daughter Rose Opal Esmè Solomon-Swash.
She wrote:
Our beautiful flower - Our precious jewel - who is ever loved. It’s been the most magical week. We love you to the moon and back our little Rose 🥺🌹 We feel so so lucky to have you here… Thank you all for your loveliness, your kindness and just being there at 3am for a chat it’s been the best. Love you all 🌹♥️
What’s the meaning behind Rose Opal Esmè’s name?
Opal is the birthstone for October, the month in which Rose was born. Stacey previously revealed that she wanted to name her daughter Autumn after the season she was born in - but soon realised that would make her full name Autumn Solomon-Swash and her initials ‘ASS’. So Opal for October definitely sounds like a better alternative!
Meanwhile, her other middle name Esmè is thought to be derived from the French word ‘aimé’ meaning ‘beloved.’ Many of Stacey’s followers also noticed that Rose’s initials are themselves an anagram of ROSES—Rose Opal Esmè Solomon-Swash. What a beautiful name!
