As Johnny Depp moves on with his life after the trial, Amber Heard is having a hard time accepting the jury’s final decision. The 36-year-old actress has expressed her disappointment with the court’s final decision. Seen for the first time, ever since the final verdict, Heard is set to appear for an interview where she’ll share her side of the story.

Amber Heard unhappy with the decision
It all started when Heard published an op-ed in the Washington Post, in 2018 claiming to be a survivor of domestic abuse. Although she doesn’t mention the name of her alleged abuser, it was heavily implied by the chronology of the article that it was Johnny Depp.
Due to the heavy backlash that fell on Depp, he lost many prestigious acting roles, like Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean and even lost the character of Gellert Grindelwald in the Fantastic Beasts movie franchise.
He then sued his ex-wife this year for defamation of character for $50 million. During the court hearings, many never-heard-before revelations were disclosed by both parties for the world to see. One of the most shocking accusations was when Depp accused his ex-wife of defecating in their bed. The revelation left everyone stunned.
However, in the end, the jury ruled in favour of Depp and he was awarded $10 million in punitive damages. He won 4 out of 5 charges and Heard won one out of five, for which she was awarded $2 million.
Amber comes out of hiding
While Depp has expressed his gratitude toward the jury and has been busy debuting his music career, Heard will be seen for the first time in public, after the verdict, in an interview on NBC, as reported by The Guardian. A teaser was released on Monday, June 13th, in which the actress makes several controversial comments about the jury and verdict.
As reported by The Guardian Heard says in the teaser:
I don’t blame [the jury] – I actually understand... He’s a beloved character, and people feel they know him. He’s a fantastic actor
She tells the interviewer, that social media was an ‘unfair’ representation of her and highly favoured Depp. She said:
But even somebody who is sure I’m deserving of all this hate and vitriol, even if you think that I’m lying, you still couldn’t look me in the eye and tell me that you think on social media there’s been a fair representation. You cannot tell me that you think that this has been fair.
