Matthew Perry has died at the age of 54. The Friends star was found dead at his Los Angeles apartment. The Los Angeles Police is currently investigating Perry’s death, at the moment there is no suspected foul play. Matthew Perry apparently died in a drowning accident in his home, but nothing has been officially confirmed.

Matthew Perry is best known for playing Chandler Bing on the hit sitcom Friends. Perry also published a memoir in November 2022 entitled Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing: A Memoir. In his book, Matthew opens up about his struggles with addiction and recalls the time when his colon ruptured due to opioid abuse.
Before his death, Matthew Perry posted a series of strange photos on Instagram, referencing ‘Mattman’.

In the weeks leading up to Matthew Perry’s devastating death, he posted several cryptic photos on Instagram, each of them referencing ‘Mattman’. Some of these photos also had a link to Batman, with a carved Bat signal on a pumkin.
Due to Perry’s death, we may never find out the real message he was trying to share, but perhaps it was a hint at what the actor’s costume was going to be for Halloween. Since it was also linked to Batman, perhaps Perry was hinting that he had some role in the next movie.

In a more sinister interpretation, some fans believe that the ‘Mattman’ series was actually a cry for help from the actor. One of his captions was:
Do you understand what I'm trying to tell you? - I'm Mattman
In the comments at the time of the post, fans were asking if Matthew was okay and if he needed help:
