Tommy Fury and Liam Payne’s Instagram accounts appeared to be announcing their boxing match. The two shared a poster that had Tommy and Liam face to face with Old Trafford Manchester written over it. The poster read:

After the two posted the same picture on their Instagram accounts, fans went into a meltdown. Many thought the former Love Island star is set to fight ex One Direction singer in a boxing ring after he defeated Jake Paul - who was blocked by Molly-Mae on her social media.

Liam even added an ‘eyes emoji’ to make it more vague, reported Mirror. Many fans were left confused after the announcement, as they took to Twitter and wrote:

After much speculation and social media popularity, it has now been revealed that Tommy Fury and Liam Payne will be facing each other on a football field. Meaning, Tommy Fury’s new rival Liam Payne is competing with him for this year’s Soccer Aid.

The event that’ll take place in June will have two sides, England vs Soccer Aid World XI team. The 29-year-old singer Liam will be playing on the England team alongside other big names like I'm A Celeb winner Jill Scott (captain), Paddy McGuinness, Jermain Defoe, Bugzy Malone, Tom Grennan, Gary Neville, Paul Scholes, Chunkz, Joel Corry, David James, Scarlette Douglas and Nicky Butt.

Meanwhile, potentially the richest Love Island star Tommy Fury will play on Soccer Aid World XI team as an Irish Traveller of Mauritian descent. The football game will take place on Sunday, June 11 at Old Trafford, Manchester.
