SNL's fan favorite Tracy Morgan is a die-hard fan of the New York Knicks. In fact, he has got his own court-side seat. However his recent attendance in one of their games took a turn for the worse.

On Monday, 17 March 2025, the actor and comedian showed symptoms of being ill while he was in attendance for one of their games in Madison Square Garden. Reports from other spectators present in the audience claim Tracy Morgan suffered from a nose bleed, before eventually throwing up in his seat.

Tracy Morgan's health scare

Posts online show the comedian being tended to by the MSG staff, as the game was delayed due to Tracy Morgan's health scare. The staff escorted the actor in a wheelchair, as he could not walk, and they reportedly got him medical attention once he was backstage. Internet users quickly commented on X, expressing their concern for the actor and comedian. One comment reads:

Tracy Morgan getting wheeled out from courtside at MSG…bleeding from nose..could barely stand up…hope he’s ok

A spokesperson for Madison Square Garden also confirmed the incident, telling the New York Post:

We hope Tracy feels better soon and look forward to seeing him back courtside.

On 18 March, Morgan revealed the reason behind his ill health, saying that he had a bout of food poisoning. He shared:

Thank you for all your concern! I’m doing ok now and doctors say it was food poisoning.
Appreciate my MSG family for taking such good care of me and I need to shout out the crew that had to clean that up. Appreciate you!

The comedian has dealt with health struggles for years

Tracy Morgan has struggled with health issues for the past few years. The actor and comedian suffers from diabetes, and he struggled with alcohol addiction. These issues led to him getting a liver transplant back in 2010.

In 2014, he miraculously survived a life-threatening car accident, after a truck hit his limousine, which left him in a coma for eight days. He had to undergo several months of rehabilitation before he could go back to his acting job. Speaking about his health with E! News in January 2024, Tracy Morgan explained he had taken Ozempic as a treatment for his diabetes, which allowed him to lose weight. He said:

Ozempic did great by me, and I was glad to use it. Now I only eat half a bag of Doritos.
