At the time of the interview on French television, the young pop star was only 17 but this wasn't her first TV appearance. Far from it. However, her interaction with the French TV presenter Nagui left her visibly uncomfortable.

An awkward moment
The interview didn't go as well as the singer had hoped. As soon as she arrived, the host started kissing Britney Spears' hand... and several times... in a repeated and exaggerated manner. He then made a number of remarks that were to cause the artist great discomfort.
An example of something Nagui, the French presenter said:
There's a sexy connotation to the way you move, the way you're dressed, the way you're made Britney, thank you
He continued:
Don't change a thing, just stay in front of me.
A clip of the interview resurfaced on X, formerly known as Twitter, by French account @lejourpop. The clip was posted on 15 August and has now collected more than a million views. As a caption to the video, the user wrote 'in the 'This hasn't aged well' category: Britney Spears at 17 having to deal with Nagui's awkward behavior/questions.'
