When Cardi B allegedly threw her shoe at Nicki Minaj after she insulted her

Cardi B and Nicki Minaj are the rap goddesses of the 21st century. And for good reason, given their talent. But, as the age-old tale goes, the two artists have been frequently clashing since 2018.

It has been over four years since their ongoing feud which has a bit of everything - drama, allegations, and name-calling. Here’s what went down with the rap queens, with the squabble that is allegedly alive to date.

Cardi B vs. Nicki Minaj

All seemed civil between the two popular rappers until August 2018. Minaj allegedly addressed a brewing feud between her and Cardi and blocked her on Twitter. The two reportedly even had an altercation at the Harper's Bazaar Icons Party during New York Fashion Week as per Glamour.

According to TMZ, it all started when Cardi apparently heard Minaj criticize her parenting skills. There is video footage of Cardi yelling and lunging toward someone thought to be Minaj. Cardi then allegedly threw her shoe at Minaj. Cardi addressed the incident in an Instagram post:

Over the years, both rappers have made snide comments hinting at each other, with some name-calling, dissing, and suggestive lyrics aimed at one another.

The plot with Cardi B and Nicki Minaj thickens

Then, soon after, in October, Cardi’s sister called Minaj out. The Bodak Yellow singer’s sister accused Minaj of leaking her sister’s phone number to fan clubs devoted to her, as per Vox. Minaj denied these allegations through and through. In an attempt to let bygones be bygones, the Starships singer even put out a heartfelt post hinting at burying the hatchet.

But through all of this drama, the two rappers have congratulated each other for their successes, co-starred in music videos, and even spoke fondly of each other. They have even been caught chatting with each other in public.

But every now and then, things took an ugly turn, which added fuel to their existing fire. Fans truly don’t know where this relationship stands at the moment since it has always been hot and cold.
