Bill Belichick, the legendary NFL coach known for leading the New England Patriots to six Super Bowl victories, has been making headlines once again — but this time, it's off the field.

The 73-year-old, now the head coach at the University of North Carolina, is preparing to release his much-anticipated biography, The Art of Winning: Lessons from My Life in Football.

However, while fans eagerly await the book's debut, it's Belichick's relationship with 24-year-old Jordon Hudson that’s truly capturing public attention. They have an age gap of 49 years.

An awkward moment caught on camera

During a recent appearance on CBS Mornings, Belichick sat down for an interview with Tony Dokoupil to promote his forthcoming book.

As the conversation turned toward his personal life, things quickly became awkward. When Dokoupil asked the coach about how he and Hudson first met, Hudson herself, sitting just off-camera, intervened firmly:

We're not talking about this.

Belichick, ever the tactician, respected her wishes and refrained from answering.

According to CBS News correspondent Tony Dokoupil:

Jordon was a constant presence during our interview.

While Belichick brushed off public curiosity, stating:

Never worried about what anybody else thinks.

Who Is Jordon Hudson? The story behind the former cheerleader

Jordon Hudson’s journey is nothing short of impressive. According to People, Hudson is a former cheerleader who attended Bridgewater State University, where she helped lead her team to an NCA Collegiate Championship in 2021.

She completed her high school education while attending cosmetology school at the New England Hair Academy, later juggling her college coursework and cheerleading commitments. She graduated in 2019 and commemorating her graduation, she wrote on Instagram:

After many trials, tribulations, countless sacrifices and a few last-minute trips to Texas, I have found myself to the end of this incredible year of growth.

Reportedly, Hudson’s path crossed with Belichick's in February 2021 during a flight from Boston to Florida. TMZ reported that the two sat next to each other and the encounter was serendipitous. Hudson, still a college student at the time, asked the iconic coach to sign one of her textbooks, Deductive Logic. Belichick inscribed:

Thanks for giving me a course on logic!

Inside their relationship: Timeline, public moments, and past loves

Belichick and Hudson have reportedly been dating since early 2023, shortly after Belichick’s 16-year relationship with Linda Holliday ended, according to People. Their relationship became public knowledge in June 2024.

Hudson later celebrated their bond and on New Year’s eve, she wrote on her Instagram story:

Nothing changed for us in 2024 except for ‘public knowledge,’ yet, somehow everything has changed.

4th calendar year; Going strong. I can’t wait to take punches for you in 2025. Keep swinging, Keyboard Warriors. Your illusion of righteousness only fuels my authenticity.

This comes as their age gap has been the subject of numerous jokes, particularly during The Roast of Tom Brady in May 2024. Former Patriot Rob Gronkowski teased:

Coach, you used to talk about Foxborough High School when we sucked. But now I know why you were so obsessed with Foxborough High School: you were scouting your new girlfriend.

Tom Brady joined in, recalling a moment where Belichick was allegedly caught sneaking out of Hudson’s house at 6 a.m., quipping:

When somebody asked me which ring was my favorite, I used to say, ‘The next one.'

Now that I’m retired, my favorite is that Ring camera that caught Coach Belichick slinking out of that poor girl’s house at 6 a.m. a few months ago.

Despite the scrutiny, Belichick and Hudson have not shied away from the public eye. They made their red carpet debut at the American Museum of Natural History Gala in December 2024 and even sported coordinated Halloween costumes—he as a fisherman and she as his ‘catch.’

At the 2025 NFL Honors, Snoop Dogg humorously remarked that he has been a football fan since ‘back when the Cowboys was good’ and added:

I remember, what was it — Bill Belichick's girlfriend wasn't even born yet?

The couple laughed along the rest of the audience.

The couple has also been spotted together on numerous occasions. In January 2023, they were seen walking through the French Quarter in New Orleans, and later that year, they enjoyed a dinner date in the same city, as reported by US Weekly.

They also made headlines when riding bikes together in Nantucket, Massachusetts, in June 2024. In October 2024, Hudson shared glimpses of their summer adventures on Instagram, including Belichick sporting Taylor Swift merchandise after attending her Eras Tour.
