Richard Madeley’s GMB Salary and Net Worth
Richard Madeley hosted Richard and Judy from 2001 to 2009 and then featured on This Morning, before hopping over to The Wright Stuff, reported The Sun. The controversial star has been Good Morning Britain’s part ever since Piers Morgan’s sensational departure after his heated debate with Meghan Markle in 2021.
After Piers left the show, Richard stepped in to help out. However, ITV bosses have been careful not to bill Richard as a ‘replacement’ for Piers Morgan. When he got the GMB gig in 2021, his representative said:
Richard is part of a revolving family of presenters and no plans to change that.
According to My London, Richard was paid £300,00 salary for being a revolving presenter in 2021. His current salary remains unknown, but considering he has become a staple on the show despite controversies, it is expected to be much higher. A source confirmed:
After a couple of meetings with ITV bosses, he was offered a full-time contract. And after consulting with his family, especially wife Judy, he decided ‘sod it’ - and to go for it.
Richard often finds himself in the news for his controversial remarks - which makes him popular enough to earn through his books and columns. The presenter has written 8 books so far including an autobiography - Richard and Judy: The Autobiography. His net worth is estimated to be £4 million.

Richard Madeley: A look into his love life, from marriages to affairs
Richard Madeley has been married to fellow TV presenter and writer Judy Finnigan since 1986. The couple are happily together and have two children together - Jack Christopher (born 1986) and Chloe Susannah (born 1987). Judy was Richard’s mentor at the Granada TV newsroom and both of them were married when they met in 1982, reported Mirror.
Judy was married to journalist David Henshaw and Madeley was previously married to Lynda Hooley - a marriage full of ‘negativity’ and infidelity, according to Richard.
Richard married Lynda when he was 21 years old and later went to on accept that his marriage was a mistake, during which he had MANY extra-marital affairs. Speaking about the women he bedded during his six-year marriage, he said:
Oh lots, numerous, probably in the space of about five years, about 10.
He added:
Although the marriage had some very happy moments, there was a lot of negativity in it. I’m not using that as an excuse. It’s wrong to have affairs, but I was a very young man.
Meanwhile, Richard and Judy appear to be very much in love to this day as they support each other in everything.
