British singer Lily Allen announced on her podcast Miss Me?, which she hosts with Miquita Oliver, that she was taking a break from the show as she was ‘spiralling’. According to StyleCaster, the singer checked into a $10,000-a-week (£8,000) trauma clinic in the US.

She said on her podcast:

I know I've been talking about it for months, but I've been spiralling and spiralling. It's got out of control, I've tried.

According to various reports, Allen will take part in intensive group counselling sessions and one-on-one therapy in which she will ‘unpack’ her emotions. While in the trauma clinic, Lily will be cut off from the outside world, having surrendered her phone. Speaking on her podcast, she explained she was ‘very excited’ about where she was going over the next three weeks.

It all comes back to the phones. They aren't doing us any good. They certainly aren't doing me any good at the moment. I really don't like my phone.
I'm as guilty of that as anyone else, what I'm very excited about where I'm going over the next few weeks is that I'm not allowed my phone.

Moreover, Lily Allen shut down rumours that she was going to rehab and that she hasn’t relapsed. The singer has been sober since 2019.

I'm going away next week for a few weeks, listeners. But I do want to reassure people because there will be speculation because of the amount of time I'm going to be taking away that I'm going to drug rehab - I've not, I've not relapsed.

Lily Allen and David Harbour allegedly split

The revelation comes as Lily Allen’s marriage to Stranger Things star David Harbour has ended after she allegedly discovered he was using the celebrity dating app Raya, as per Daily Mail.

A source told the tabloid that Lily had suspicions her husband was using the app again and did some investigating to see if they were true. The unnamed source said:

Lily was looking for women that were on Raya and cross-referencing them with women David follows on Instagram to try to figure out who he was seeing.

The source added that Lily was ‘devastated’ and that she ‘never even looked at anyone since she met David’. Another sourced has claimed that the Stranger Things actor has become a ‘trigger’ for Allen.

It was very painful for Lily to return home. David used to be her saviour and now he’s a trigger for her.

As per Daily Mail, Lily Allen and David Harbour separated in December. However, Allen hasn’t made a public statement concerning the split. Nonetheless, a friend of the singer confirmed the separation.

A look back on Lily Allen and David Harbour’s relationship

Lily Allen and David Harbour sparked romance rumours back in 2019. It is believed the two met on the celebrity dating app Raya. During an interview on the Jonathan Ross Show, the singer admitted she didn’t know who Harbour was.

It was the first time I’d been on this dating app. I was scrolling through and landed on David’s profile and pressed accept.
I didn’t know who he was. I thought he was just like a sexy policeman from a reality TV show because he was wearing a policeman’s uniform.

Allen was referencing a still from Netflix’s Stranger Things, which she revealed she’d ‘never seen’. She goes on to add that when they first met, she ‘didn’t think it was going to go anywhere’ and she was just looking for ‘something to do on holiday’.

Allen and Harbour were first linked together when they attended the BAFTA Tea Party on January 5, 2019. A few months later, in August, the two were seen together while filming Black Widow in London. It is believed the two attended a performance of The Lehman Trilogy together.

Two months later, David Harbour hosted Saturday Night Live and the Stranger Things actor was once again seen with the British singer at the after-party. On October 13, 2019, Allen and Harbour were spotted sharing a kiss in New York City.

Following their kiss, the couple attended their first red carpet as an item. On October 17, 2019, they attended The Skin Cancer Foundation's Champions for Change Gala at the Plaza Hotel. Ten days later, the two made their relationship Instagram official, according to People.

Indeed, Harbour shared a photo of the two of them at Disney's Magic Kingdom in Florida. In November, the actor opened up about his relationship with Lily with People when he was voted The Sexiest Man Alive that year.

Lily Allen once told me that I was so gorgeous it was an outrage. I really only look at my girlfriend's eyes, until she's turned away from me and I stare at her stunningly beautiful butt.

The two eventually sparked engagement rumours after Allen was spotted wearing a ring on her left hand. On September 7, 2020, Lily and David tied the knot in a Las Vegas ceremony. They were officiated by an Elvis Presley impersonator and ended the day with In-N-Out burgers.

Harbour announced the wedding in an Instagram post with his new wife and the Elvis impersonator. The wedding was kept intimate as it was during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.

In a wedding officiated by the king himself, the people’s princess wed her devoted, low-born, but kind credit card holder in a beautiful ceremony lit by the ashen skies courtesy of a burning state miles away in the midst of a global pandemic.
