Of course, the media in (almost) all countries reported up and down, some even around the clock on the day of the election. But now the spotlight is shining on Donald Trump's wife, Melania. Observers are wondering what the future holds for her.
Even during her husband's first presidency, it was rumoured that the former model did not particularly enjoy her time in Washington D.C.. She seems to have always liked her life in New York better.
Rumours about what will happen with the new First Lady
There are now rumours that Donald Trump could possibly move into the White House without her—or at least spend a significant part of his time there alone. Of course, Melania has not acknowledged the whispers.
Additionally, some media are also reporting on the alleged reasons she prefers an alternative residence.
This could be the reason why Melania doesn't want to return
A few days prior to election day, a few sources exclusively revealed to People what they think Melania Trump's plans will be if her husband would become President—which is now the case. One of the sources claims that Melania's primary residence will not just be the White House, but she will also spend time in New York and Mar-a-Lago in Florida.
They added that Barron is her current priority, and she will find a way to attend events in the White House while most importantly being there for her son.
She will spend more time in New York with her son, who is more important to her than anything else.
While another source, who is reportedly close to the Trump family, completely bulldozed the idea of the former and future First Lady going back to the White House. They said:
She definitely won't be going back to Washington to live. She'll stay between Florida and NYC. This is not what she signed up for.
Only time will tell where Melania is planning to spend her time as First Lady.
