Now, in an interview with Men’s Health magazine, Zac Efron has revealed why his gorgeous face has undergone drastic changes since last year, and told the publication that he had to take certain measures after an intense accident.

The film star started generating cosmetic surgery gossip after fans noticed that his face had changed after 2021.
Although Zac gas never really talked about the cosmetic surgery allegations before, he’s come out in open and revealed the reason behind his transformation.
The cause
Zac Efron revealed to Men’s Health magazine, who is their cover star for the October 2022 issue, that he had tripped on a sock while running around his house which resulted in him walking around with a broken jaw. This in turn caused the muscles in his face to swell up.
What was all the more painful for the star was the fact that Zac saw that his chin was hanging against the granite corner of a fountain that resulted in him going unconscious. The magazine narrated:
‘(When he woke up, he found his) chin bone was hanging off his face’
He then had to adjust his masseter muscles to the inside of his face. He had to do physical therapy for the injury and heal it over a period of time—which explains why his face has in fact changed so much. Zac told them:
‘The masseters just grew. They just got really, really big,'
The rumour(s)
Zac Efron fans have been going wild with speculations related to his appearance change, especially when he appeared for a video on Earth Day. Fans thought his jawline looked a lot heavier.
His Australian radio vet friend, Kyle Sandilands, came to his rescue then saying the actor would never go under the knife.
Kyle said on his Kyle and Jackie O Show:
‘I would know if he’d had any plastic surgery. It’s like getting a Picasso and having a kid finger paint all over it. Why bother?’
Zac Efron had no idea he had gone viral for his transformation until his mother, Starla Baskett, asked him if he had undergone cosmetic surgery.
However, it's not just his face that has changed over the years. His body has too. Especially since he had to beef up for his Baywatch remake role alongside Dwayne Johnson and Priyanka Chopra-Jonas.
