Reality star power couple Zara McDermott and Sam Thompson broke fans hearts at the start of September as they announced their shock split. It was reported that Zara had cheated on Sam early on in their relationship whilst she was appearing on Celebrity X Factor last year and that he broke up with her when he recently found out – and Zara now seems to have confirmed the rumours herself.

Taking to her Instagram Stories last Thursday, Zara wrote:
Hey everyone, I just wanted to address the recent speculation in the media. A huge mistake I made a year ago has recently come to light and I want to face this head on. I don't condone being unfaithful and I made a huge mistake at a time in my life where I was hugely selfish and immature. I believe I have learnt so much from my mistake.
The former Love Island star continued:
I want to apologise to my Sam for everything I have put him through, for the pain, the embarassment, the anger and the hurt. All I want to do is make this right and I think the least he deserves is me being honest with myself and all of you. I love you Sam. Forever. X.
Whilst it seems that Zara is keen to win Sam back, the 28-year-old Made In Chelsea star hasn't made any public response – and seems to be making the most of single life. He's been spending a lot of time hanging out with buddy Pete Wicks – and was pictured cuddled up with a series of latex-clad girls at a cabaret event in London this weekend.
Although some fans have warned Sam not to go back to Zara, others have pointed out that Sam himself has been guilty of infidelity in the past, having cheated on ex-girlfriends and MIC co-stars Sophie Habboo and Tiffany Watson. Will Sam and Zara get back together someday or is it all over?
