Christmas is fast approaching and that means we have to start planning. Whether you’re a royal or not, Christmas is, generally speaking, a family celebration and that sometimes means needing to make concessions and allowances. But it looks like Harry and Meghan don’t want to spend Christmas with the Royal Family this year. Could Harry’s little spiff with his brother William be the reason?
Christmas in the USA
The Queen of England will almost certainly be disappointed this year, because Meghan Markle, Prince Harry and little Archie won’t be celebrating with the Royal Family as usual. As The Mirror has reported, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be flying to the USA for six weeks with their son in order to spend the holidays in Meghan Markle’s homeland.
That means that Archie will be spending his first Christmas in his mother’s homeland, more specifically, Los Angeles, with his maternal grandparents.
The Queen is ‘not amused’
Queen Elizabeth wasn’t happy to hear about this news. Traditionally, the Royal Family gathers every year to spend Christmas in Sandringham, but the Queen has had to make allowances in the past when Kate Middleton and Prince William weren’t around for one Christmas.
Now the Queen will once again need to say goodbye to one of her grandsons for the holidays. Photos of the two brothers, such as the ones taken last year on their way to the Christmas service, will not be possible this year.
People have also been wondering whether the potential absence of Meghan and Harry could be something to do with the possible tensions that are still quite high among the Royal Family.
