Charles Spencer shares a baby photo of Lady Diana
Charles Spencer took to Instagram on Saturday, January 20 to mark his late mother’s birthday. Frances sadly passed away in 2004 at the age of 68 after she was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and brain cancer, as per Hello!.
Charles shared some newspaper clippings from his sister’s christening and there is also a black and white photo of a young girl pushing a cart with a toy horse on it.
In his post, the Earl of Spencer wrote:
Remembering my mother, with love and gratitude, on what would have been her 88th birthday.
People in his comment section gave their condolences and wished Frances a heavenly birthday.
Charles and Diana’s mother has a surprising link to the Royal Family
As reported by Hello!, Frances was born on the Sandringham Estate on the same day that King George V, Queen Elizabeth’s grandfather, died. As many royal fans know, Sandringham is typically where the Royal Family spend Christmas.
Frances’ link to the Royal Family does not stop there! Queen Elizabeth - the Queen Mother - attended Frances’ wedding to John Spencer, 8th Earl Spencer. Moreover, Lady Diana’s grandmother on her mother's side, Ruth Roche was a a confidante and lady-in-waiting to the Queen Mother.
