Brexit, Harry and Meghan: Brad Pitt Didn’t Leave Anything Out Of His Speech At The ‘BAFTA Awards’

This year, Brad Pitt has been making one amazing, yet surprising speech after the other. For family reasons, he was unable to attend the BAFTA Awards in London this year, but his fellow co-star Margot Robbie nevertheless read out a speech that the actor from Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood had prepared.

A little dig at Brexit

After scoring points at theGolden Globes and SAG Awards for his self-ironic and quick-witted speeches, Brad Pitt also put together a few introductory remarks about Brexit:

‘Hi Britain. I head you just became single. Welcome to the club. Wishing you the best with the divorce settlement…’

Even Kate and William had to laugh a little

At the end of his two-minute speech, which was delivered perfectly by Margot Robbie, Brad Pitt’s speech mentioned something that even Kate and William probably had a little laugh at.

'I'm gonna name this Harry, 'cause [Brad] is really excited about bringing it back to the States with him.’

But a dig at the infamous ‘Megxit’,which refers to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to distance themselves from the Royal Family, has caused Meghan’s father to since making critical comments. The media often accuses the American actress of influencing Harry and driving a wedge between him and his family.

A joke that Kate and William, who could be seen in the crowd clapping and smiling appropriately, and the other members of the Royal Family probably had to have a little giggle at, especially when Margot Robbie added:

'His words, not mine.’
