Had it not been a requirement of senior working Royals, it is possible that the Queen Consort would never have travelled so far afield. The former Duchess of Cornwall reportedly suffers from a mild fear of flying and an aversion to trains. To say the least, it makes travelling a little complicated.

According to Condé Nast Traveller, three of the Queen Consort’s favourite holiday destinations are in the UK, while the others are in Europe.
Corfu, Greece
The King and Queen Consort have been seen numerous times basking in the sun on the island of Corfu. It is known for its lush green landscapes and olive trees.
The island is located on the northern side of the Ionian Sea. Corfu Town’s atypical architecture has been influenced by many different cultures, including Venetian, French and English. It also happens to be the birthplace of Prince Philip, King Charles’s late father.
According to the publication, the couple stays at the Rothschild villa in Kerasia, although it was also rumoured that the former Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall toured the Greek islands on a yacht owned by the billionaire Spiros Latsis.
Cornwall, England
It’s not surprising that the former Duchess of Cornwall has a soft spot for this corner of the UK.
Charles III and Camilla are regular visitors to their Cornish house, Restormel Manor, in the heart of the Fowey Valley. Camilla particularly enjoys spending time in their sustainable plant nursery. If not, the Queen Consort marvels at the ruins of Restormel Castle, which overlooks their manor.
Another Cornish destination that the Queen Consort is said to enjoy is the Isles of Scilly. More particularly, Tresco, which was part of Charles’s private estate. The Royal couple has spent many staycations on the Isles of Scilly.

Scotland
Camilla, Queen Consort, shares her next favourite destination with the late Queen Elizabeth II. Both Royal women shared a deep love of Scotland.
Of their large portfolio of Royal residences, it is said Charles and Camilla’s favourite is Birkhall, their Scottish ‘summer’ residence. It is located on the Balmoral Estate. Charles and Camilla began their honeymoon here in 2005, which may be the origin of their affinity for this particular residence.
Ischia, Italy
Although the Queen Consort hasn’t been to the sunny island of Ischia recently, it holds a special place in her heart. Camilla vacationed on the stunning volcanic island with her parents. The island is known for its pristine beaches and thermal hot springs.
When talking about her time on the island, the Queen Consort said:
It instilled a lifelong passion for Italian food.
The Queen Consort enjoyed the destination so much that she also took her two children, Tom, and Laura, for holidays on the island, per Express.
