According to a rediscovered report, the Queen once declared ‘enough is enough’ after a spate of royal divorces, warning Prince William and Prince Harry that their marriage must be forever. This year marked Her Majesty's first Christmas without her Prince Philip in more than 70 years. The two had been together through many ups and downs and only seemed to grow fonder of each other with each passing day.

However, when it comes to the other members of the royal family, most of them failed to keep their marriage together. Three of the Queen and Prince Philip's four children have been divorced including Prince Charles and Princess Anne. According to a 2006 report in the Sunday Express, the Queen was not pleased about this at all.
No more royal divorces
In terms of royal divorces, she reportedly advised William and his younger brother Prince Harry that ‘enough was enough.’ William was dating Kate Middleton while Harry had a romantic relationship with Chelsy Davy. They began dating in early 2004 and had an on-again, off-again romance until mid-2010. According to the Sunday Express, a spokesman at Buckingham Palace said,
She now feels, to put it bluntly, that enough is enough. She does not want to name names, but she is adamant that there are going to be no further royal divorces during her reign.
William and Harry were well aware of the importance of finding 'the one.' The royal source further explained,
Both Princes William and Harry have been in no doubt that when they marry, it’s for keeps.
A word not in her dictionary
Her Majesty's younger sister, Margaret married Antony Armstrong-Jones in 1960, but they separated in 1978 due to adultery and infidelity in the relationship. It became the first senior royal member divorce since Princess Victoria Melita of Edinburgh's divorce in 1901. The royal source added to the information and said,
The Queen is the head of the Church and so from a point of principle, she is opposed to royal divorces. However, she has witnessed the divorces not just of her sister Princess Margaret, but also those of her three eldest children.
The concept of divorce goes against the Queen’s whole upbringing, which is about duty and about soldiering on in the face of adversity.
With successfully completing 73 years of marriage with Prince Philip, the Queen stands as a strong testimony of what she believes in. It is impossible to stay together for that long and not have rifts, yet the two maintained the sanctity of their relationship.
