Their clothes
The couple’s choice of clothing was not simply fashion, it was to send a message. Indeed Prince Harry was wearing a light-grey J. Crew suit with an opened-collared white shirt costing him around $700. The Duke of Sussex chose his suit very carefully as it was the suit he wore to his first child, Archie’s very first photocall and baptism. He also looked less like a Prince with his open-collared shirt and more like a celebrity living out in California.
Meghan Markle’s outfit was just as well thought of. The Duchess wore an elegant black Armani wrap dress, which is a popular brand among Hollywood elites. Just like her husband, Meghan looked more like a celebrity than a royal, showing they were done with traditions. The pattern on her dress also relayed her hardship as a Princess. Indeed the black dress had a white lotus flower blossoming showing that even in the harshest conditions, flowers can thrive, just like Meghan did through her mental health.

Their jewellery
Prince Harry and Meghan’s jewellery was also symbolic. Meghan wore a Cartier Love Bracelet on her wrist as a symbol of her marriage to Prince Harry. The bracelet’s binding closure and screw motive symbolise the couple’s unbreakable bond. To make it even more obvious, Prince Harry wore a matching bracelet.
Meghan’s other bracelet also has meaning. The Cartier tennis bracelet she wore used to belong to Prince Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana. Meghan has worn many items that belonged to Princess Diana, including one of the diamonds on her engagement ring that came from Prince Harry’s late mother’s collection. Even on the couple’s wedding day, they honoured Princess Diana as Meghan wore Diana’s aquamarine Asprey ring as her ‘something blue’.
