Fisher exclusively told The Post:

Prince Harry goes to as many events as he can, he and Meghan are very engaged with the families and competitors, so they play a very important role.

Fisher described the couple’s interactions at the Games as heartfelt and impactful. He continued:

They’ve been through so much turmoil but having Prince Harry and Meghan there has been very important.

They are genuine and the bond between them is a real bond, it’s a wonderful thing to see.

Beyond their personal relationship, Fisher highlighted how both Harry and Meghan are active participants in the healing journey of the veterans. He added:

What people don’t see is the families bonding, not only with each other, but with other families. Because they and they alone only know what their journey has been like. So it gives them a chance to heal together and share their experiences.

Fisher also emphasized Harry’s military background as a key factor in his connection to the veterans—a vision he claims Meghan also shares. He told the publication:

It’s an honor to be associated with them and work closely with them. We share the same goal, and that is to make sure these men and women not only get the respect and dignity they deserve, but also to let them know that even though some might still be struggling with PTSD, there is help available.

Patrick Hill, a journalist for The Mirror, has had the opportunity to observe Harry and Meghan across multiple Invictus Games events. Having spent four days with them at the 2025 Games in Vancouver, Hill described a key moment that revealed everything about their relationship.

Hill wrote:

It was a moment that involved no speech, yet said more than a million words ever could.

After months of speculation about their marriage, Meghan leaned into Harry and tenderly put her head on his shoulder as they held hands.

They may have been surrounded by more than 40,000 people at the Invictus Games opening ceremony, but despite the gaze of many being on them, it was clear they only had eyes for each other.

Hill, who has followed their journey since their first public appearance in 2017, dismissed any doubts about their authenticity and said:

I have never seen them looking so happy and in-step with each other as they have here in Vancouver and Whistler.

Speaking to People, Prince Harry shared his long-term vision for the Invictus Games. His ultimate wish? That the event would no longer be needed. He told them:

I wish that we could close this down because there wasn’t a need for it, but as long as there’s a need for it, we will keep it going.

Harry also acknowledged the event’s growing significance. He said:

It’s amazing how after 10 years that we’re still doing this, that we still need to do this. We will continue the Games for as long as it's needed, and the need is increasing, rather than reducing.

Looking ahead, he expressed excitement about the Games returning to the UK in 2027 and added:

The fact that there will be a full cycle back in 2027 back to the UK is a place that I never thought we would be.

Prince Harry remains in Canada until the official end of the competition on 16 February, while Meghan has returned home to California.

Royal expert Hugo Vickers speculated that Meghan’s departure was primarily to be with their children. Vickers told The Sun:

I think probably the main reason that she [Meghan] went back was to be with the children, because they obviously take that very seriously.

Secondly, I think it's very important that Prince Harry should be concentrating on the participants of the Invictus games and supporting them.

This comes after, during her opening speech for the Invictus Games on Saturday, Meghan mentioned that their children were enthusiastically supporting Harry from California and were extremely excited.
