The role will be responsible for managing diaries, arranging meetings, organising and assisting with visits, events and travel. Duties will also include: handling telephone calls and regularly drafting letters and emails.
The assistant will also be responsible for all telephone calls made by the grandson of Queen Elizabeth II and his wife, as well as for writing letters and emails.
'Confidentiality and discretion'
To fill this key position at Kensington Palace, Kate and William are looking for someone with 'excellent organisational and communication skills' but also 'attention to detail,' which is crucial in the highly formal environment of British royalty. Another essential prerequisite for the royal job is 'the ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times,' the Cambridge couple stress.
Kate and William also want to hire a personal assistant secretary. The successful candidate will be responsible for the couple's budgets, but also for their outfits when they travel or make public appearances. These two new hires are linked to the departure on maternity leave of two of their employees.
