A lot of attention
Naturally, when Prince William went to university, he was bombarded with a lot of attention and advances from young women. Allegedly, the future King was ‘too polite’ and didn’t know how to say no or reject their favour.
That’s when Kate Middleton used to swoop in like a hero and save the Prince in distress. Kate has a clever way to help him out of ‘uncomfortable’ situations like these reported Mirror. Laura Warshauer, a mutual friend of the Prince and Princess of Wales told Royal expert Katie Nicholl:
Will was getting really hit on by this girl at a party and it was getting quite uncomfortable because he couldn't shake her off.
He was being really polite, but this girl just didn't get the hint. All of a sudden Kate came up behind him and put her arms around him. He said 'Oh, sorry, but I've got a girlfriend', and he and Kate went off giggling.
Prince William mouthed ‘thanks so much’ to his future wife and was grateful for her to rescue him from situations like these. The mutual friend also added:
Kate was the only girl in the room who could have done that. And that was just a month after we started university.
Together forever
Kate Middleton and Prince William have been together ever since they met in their first year of college. During the first year, they lived at St Salvator's Halls of Residence. In the second year, the two moved in together to a shared house with two other friends at 13A Hope Street.
In the third and fourth, the two made a home together in a private house situated off-campus that belonged to one of William's distant cousins.
