Harry’s unwavering dedication to the Games has seen him deliver motivational speeches, participate in promotional activities, and personally support athletes. He recently got a tattoo to promote the Games as well.

For the 2025 edition of the Games, the Duke has gone one step forward as he has secured the biggest star yet to headline the event.

Katy Perry joins as headliner for 2025 Invictus Games

Prince Harry has enlisted his A-list neighbour Katy Perry to open the Invictus Games in February 2025, reports MailOnline. The Grammy-nominated singer will perform at the opening ceremony on February 8 and mark her debut at the bi-annual event.

Katy will lead the star-studded lineup, performing alongside artists like Nelly Furtado, Noah Kahan, and Roxane Bruneau, according to Invictus Games’ website. This collaboration is a major coup for the Games, as Perry is the most prominent artist to headline since its inception.

Aside from professional ties, Harry and Meghan are also understood to be good friends with Katy Perry and her husband Orlando Bloom. The two live just a stone’s throw away from each other in Montecito, California. The pop star even attended Lilibet’s third birthday party, hosted at the Sussexes’ lavish multi-million-dollar mansion.

With such personal ties, it’s no surprise that the pop icon is headlining the Games in 2025. The Games would also be the first major event Harry and Meghan will attend together in 2025, following speculation of their 'professional separation'.

Katy Perry - a royal favourite

Interestingly, Prince Harry seems to have followed in his father's footsteps with by picking Katy Perry. She was part of King Charles’ coronation festivities earlier in 2023. Not only did she attend the grand event, but she also delivered a stunning performance at Windsor Castle during the Coronation Concert.

Invited to the ceremony at Westminster Abbey, Perry made headlines with her vibrant Vivienne Westwood ensemble and her humorous struggle to find her seat. The following day, she dazzled the crowd at Windsor Castle with performances of her iconic hits ‘Roar’ and ‘Firework.’ Her set even had young royals, including Prince George and Princess Charlotte, singing along, as per Hello! Magazine.

As an ambassador for the British Asian Trust, a charity founded by King Charles, Perry has worked closely with the monarch to support vital initiatives in South Asia.
