As the new Head of State, King Charles is constantly being observed by royal commentators and experts. The royal experts and commentators watch his every move and decision and then interpret them and come to conclusions of their own. One royal commentator believes they have pinpointed King Charles’ downfall as Monarch and it has supposedly already happened.
Tonia Buxton spoke with GB News and was analysing one of King Charles’ moves from February. She believes this one move could be his undoing.
King Charles looks too ‘informal’ to be King
Speaking with GB News, Tonia Buxton talked about King Charles’ stamp portrait. According to her, this was a ‘deliberate move.’
King Charles made the decision to not wear a crown for his stamp portrait, which was adapted from a design by Martin Jennings. Buxton has pointed out that this decision makes King Charles seem more like a politician than a King.
That’s the problem… he’s more of a politician, and that’s where he will come undone.
The other issue that Buxton has brought up is that if he isn’t wearing a crown in his portrait, people may think he hasn’t been crowned King yet.
People think it’s because he’s not a crown King yet, that’s not right.
It’s a deliberate move to try and look more informal.

Is King Charles too involved in politics?
This wouldn’t be the first time that experts have claimed King Charles is too involved in politics. Indeed on February 27, His Majesty was called out for meeting with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen at Windsor Castle.
Many had seen this audience as a clear political affair, which goes completely against the purpose of the Royal Family, who are supposed to steer clear of the UK’s political affairs.
Moreover, King Charles has always been a huge advocate for climate change and ecological matters since the 70s. For some, this could also be seen as taking part in political issues.
King Charles’ latest decision to not scrap stocks, but use them instead, fits his dedication to environmentalism. Royal Mail director of external affairs and Policy David Gold explained this.
The King gave very clear directions he didn’t want anything to be pulped, he didn’t want things being shredded, he didn’t want stock being thrown away.
He was very clear, however long it takes to clear the stock there’s no rush… entirely in line with his well-stated principles of waste and environmentalism.
