The Royal Family’s website put up a job vacancy that’s looking for the Head of Royal Correspondence. Queen Elizabeth II used to receive 200 letters a day making it a total of 70,000 letters in a year.

Job description
According to the vacancy put up on the Royal Family’s website, the position is based within the Private Secretary's Office in Buckingham Palace. The right candidate will have to work for 37.5 hours a week spread across five days.
The new Head of Royal Correspondence will be responsible for replying to the ‘high volume’ of letters sent by the public to the King, Queen Consort and the Prince and Princess of Wales. The salary would range from somewhere between £55,000 to £60,000.
Apart from first-class writing skills, the new Head will also need to have 'strong people management skills' and also act as a deputy for the Private Secretary occasionally. The advert said:
Reporting to the Director of Operations, you'll provide strategic leadership for the correspondence function, ensuring that robust plans are in place for major events and strategic issues are managed effectively.
Since 'no two days are the same' in the Royal Household, the advert stressed how the successful candidate will make a 'genuine impact at the heart of this world-famous institution.’

The potential candidate will also need to be tech-savvy and should be able to write Key Performance Indicators (KPI) reports. The Royal Family may also need their help to introduce a new case management system. The advert continued:
With experience of using a case management system, you’ll understand how this can be used to devise metrics and improve service delivery. You will be able to manage projects and have demonstrable capability in delivering change.
With the ability to work with and influence internal and external stakeholders, you will be able to call upon persuasion and presentation skills in a deadline-driven environment.
The last application can be accepted till November 27 and the interviews will take place all throughout December.
