The number of current working royals is quite thin. Indeed it appears as though King Charles may need to enlist some help and promote some family members.

King Charles may need to promote these two royals as he needs help

As you may have noticed, the number of working royals within The Firm is very limited. At the top, there is King Charles and Queen Camilla, then there is Princess Anne, Prince Edward and his wife, Sophie Duchess of Edinburgh and of course, there is Prince William and Princess Kate.

There are also some of the late Queen Elizabeth’s cousins that go on official engagements, but as they are older, they don’t go on as many and they aren’t as publicized as the ones performed by core members of the Royal Family.

Since the number of working royals is limited, King Charles may need to promote other members of his family to working royals in order to help fulfil engagements and to help support him. According to one royal expert, the answer is very clear.

King Charles needs help

According to Richard Eden, the King and Queen need help, especially if they wish to rule as strongly as the late Queen Elizabeth. The help is more noticeble as King Charles and Queen Camilla are visiting East Africa. As reported by GB News, he said:

As I have watched the King and Queen carry out engagements in East Africa, what has struck me most is that they need help.

Adding:

If we want the monarchy to continue to be as strong as it was under the late Queen, we need new recruits to 'the Firm'

Richard Eden also explains that one of the reasons that King Charles needs help is because the current working royals are ‘ageing’.

King Charles should promote Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie

Richard Eden believes that King Charles should ask his nieces, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie for help:

King Charles should ask his sensible nieces, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, if they would like to become working royals.

The daughters of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson were demoted as working royals by Queen Elizabeth back in 2016. Since then, they have been on hand to help out occasionally, such as during King Charles’ coronation.

Eden explains that Eugenie and Beatrice have a great sense of duty and would 'likely agree' to be working royals once again. This comes shortly after a source has claimed that Princess Eugenie is feeling homesick.

I know they have a great sense of duty, so they would be likely to agree.
A Commonwealth realm that does not expect to see the new monarch in a hurry would, I’m sure, welcome a visit from one of his nieces.
