So far, we already know about the monarch’s ‘unusual’ breakfast habits, and that he skips lunch as he views it as ‘a luxury that gets in the way of his work.’ Claims have also been made by some sources that the King and Queen do not sleep in the same bed, including having a shared bedroom.

King Charles and Queen Camilla’s one disagreement that they always have

In a new report, Queen Camilla’s younger sister, Annabel Elliot, has revealed that the Royal couple has ‘petty arguments.’ One of the most common arguments that the couple have is over the monarch's ‘compulsive window-opening’ at Clarence House.

She recently explained it in Royal expert Robert Hardman's book, Charles III: New King. New Court. The Inside Story. Talking about her brother-in-law's playful behaviour at home, she wrote:

There’s a constant battle about it. He will have opened it [a window]. She will creep in behind and shut it. So there’s a lot of: 'Oh, darling, you shut the window.' 'Yes, I have, because we’re all freezing.' So a lot of banter goes on.

This comes as Queen Camilla likes a ‘warm and cosy’ living space, while the King is known to have a penchant for frost, reports Hello! magazine. His former communications secretary Julian Payne also talked about it and recalled:

The King always has the windows wide open. A meeting at Birkhall, his home in the Highlands, in the middle of winter was not for the faint-hearted.
I can remember more than one occasion when I thought I might have actually got frostbite while trying to write with a hand I could no longer feel.

Other unusual habits that King Charles has

Annabel is involved in the refurbishment of Balmoral Estate and other Royal residences. She also revealed that the King opts out of using a duvet, writes Yahoo!. Royal commentators Emmy Griffiths and Emily Nash then began speculating on his style on their A Right Royal Podcast where Emily said:

[Annabel Elliot] did once reveal in an interview that he doesn't like duvets. I'm assuming he's a traditional sheets and blankets kind of guy.

Emmy responded:

That's not traditional. Traditional as in Georgian times. Traditionally they didn't have central heating but I bet he's not kicking up [about that].

Apart from his sleeping habits, the King is also mocked for his ‘planting’ trees everywhere. According to The Express, the monarch ‘loves being out and about in the countryside.’ Hardman said:

He’s obsessed with it. He’s always liked planting trees. He used to get mocked for it slightly because whenever he planted a tree, he’d always shake one of the leaves by the hand and say, ‘Good luck tree.’
I talked to one of his staff, and he said, ‘Well, we often joke, "Where’s the King? He is probably planting trees."
