A top-level meeting
While some people are criticizing the couple for revealing the monarch's nickname, which should have been kept private, she doesn't seem to hold it against them. In fact, she has already met her great-granddaughter.
This was revealed by People on 8 June. On their way back from the hospital, one of the most renowned on the West Coast, the American actress and the youngest son of Prince Charles were keen to introduce Lilibet Diana to Her Majesty. A meeting that naturally took place by video. A source told the magazine:
They were very happy and could not wait to reveal the arrival of their daughter.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry took 20 weeks off to enjoy their daughter. As for little Archie, he is reportedly thrilled to have welcomed his little sister.
A truce baby?
A little girl who could well be the centrepiece of a possible reconciliation between the Sussexes and the royal family. Indeed, the tribute paid to her with the name Lilibet Diana may well have touched Queen Elizabeth II. According to the Daily Mail, Her Majesty has made a giant step towards a better relationship with Harry by inviting him to come to lunch for two at Windsor Castle. William's brother is expected to come back to England in the coming weeks.
