What will the ‘intimate interview’ cover?
First Oprah will sit down with Meghan for an ‘intimate interview’ that will address everything from ‘stepping into life as a Royal, marriage, motherhood, philanthropic work to how she is handling life under intense public pressure.’ Afterwards, the two will be joined by Prince Harry as they talk about their experience moving to the US and their future goals as a family.
Chris Ship, ITV's royal editor, told Good Morning Britain: ‘I think what you can expect from the interview is something pretty extraordinary.’ He continued:
All of those things have the potential to be pretty extraordinary, perhaps even explosive. I don't think Harry going to do anything that will severely embarrass the Queen. He still talks to the Queen on a fairly regular basis, that's the one connection he's maintained with his family over here.
Another royal source explained to the Mirror:
One only has to look at the previous instalments of the tell-all interview to know these things never end up with a wholly positive experience for any party.Everyone will be watching with intense interest.
It seems that Harry and Meghan’s efforts to finally tell their side of the story is a clear indication that they have ‘washed their hands’ of their UK lives. Ship continued:
They have washed their hands of pretty much everything here. I don't think they would have been expecting to keep many or any of the titles they've got. We've got to face facts here. Their lives are in America, and everything they do from here on in is going to be in America. They are not here anymore. They have moved on.
When and where can we watch the interview?
The 90-minute interview named Oprah with Meghan and Harry will be airing on CBS on Sunday, 7th March at 9 pm EST. However, details on where and how to watch for UK and international viewers are yet to be determined.
The news of the ‘tell-all’ interview comes just days after Harry and Megan announced that they were expecting their second child. The couple happily announced Meghan’s pregnancy on Valentine’s Day with a beautiful black and white photo of the parents while a spokesperson announced:
We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child.
The baby, who will be eighth in line to the throne, is due in the early summer and will be the first senior royal to be born outside of the UK.
