Whether it’s King Charles’ Australia tour, which pushed the Sussexes’ Australia tour back into the limelight, or the Royal Family wishing Harry a happy birthday for the first time in three years, the interest in the couple has remained intact over the years.

Since stepping down from their roles as senior royals, the couple have been trying to forge their own path in the US, which has only increased the scrutiny on them.

For instance, Eric Trump previously said that the country would happily send the Sussex couple back to the UK.

Tina Brown criticises Meghan Markle and Prince Harry

In more recent news, prominent British journalist and royal biographer Tina Brown has shared her views on the couple, and especially Meghan Markle. During her appearance on The Ankler podcast, Brown delivered a scathing critique of Meghan.

She suggested that Meghan’s judgement has been consistently poor throughout her journey with Prince Harry, according to Newsweek. Adding that the Duke is ‘in the thrall of Meghan,’ Brown said:

The trouble with Meghan is that she has the worst judgement of anyone in the entire world. She's flawless about getting it all wrong. I mean, she just is. She really is a perfectionist about getting it all wrong.

According to Brown, Meghan’s decision-making skills have been a key contributor to their public struggles, such as the ridicule of Prince Harry’s memoir Spare, the collapse of their high-profile Spotify deal, or PR companies leaving the couple after short durations.

Emphasising that Meghan is dragging Harry down with her, Brown borrowed Princess Diana’s description of her marriage to King Charles, calling Harry ‘a lamb to the slaughter.’ She said:

He's so naive and really unschooled in the ways of the world…The army was great for him and he was extremely good and competent in there, that really helped turn him into a real person. But he's a lamb to the slaughter—he's the lamb to the slaughter in this situation.

Brown went on to claim that Harry was ‘terribly impressed’ by Meghan to the point that he never thought to question her while she made ‘every mistake in the book.’ She explained:

She persuaded him that she was the savvy Hollywood wheeler dealer who could come in and make them stars and all the rest of it and he just sort of blindly followed her like a child, really.

Despite it all, Brown believes there’s hope for Prince Harry’s comeback, as he will always be the ‘grandson of the Queen’ and ‘the son of Diana.’
