Morning tea hosted by Meghan Markle
Australian comedian Joel Creasey recounted an event hosted by Meghan Markle back when she was a working Royal. The comedian told Nova 96.9's Fitzy and Wippa radio show that he had ‘snuck in’ the event.
I went to a morning tea to meet her for youth leaders aged under 30 and I just snuck in
He revealed that the invite was actually for fellow Australian comedian Josh Thomas. However, the event didn’t go to plan. It turned out that the Duchess of Sussex was late to her own event.
Joel Creasey was threatened by security
The comedian then explains that Meghan Markle was actually 5 hours late to the event:
I went along and she was five hours late.
Naturally, after such a long wait, Creasey wanted to leave but was denied that option. Creasey headed toward the exit and asked if he could leave as he ‘don’t care about her that much’ but security refused his request.
The comedian then revealed that security threatened to arrest him if he left. According to him, security said:
No, you can't leave. We'll arrest you

Joel Creasy and Meghan Markle met before
It turns out that Creasy had a previous encounter with the Duchess of Sussex. The pair had met and things were frosty.
Creasy told The Project that Meghan was allegedly quite rude to him when they were introduced:
I got introduced to her. She came over and was planted in front of me. The governor of Victoria’s husband said to Meghan, ‘Oh Meghan, Joel hosted your wedding’
However, before the person could finish, Meghan interrupted and allegedly said:
Ugh, I don’t remember you being there.
According to Creasy, he believes the person introducing them was going to say that Joel had hosted her wedding on TV.
