Recently, Meghan appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show after eight months of her bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey. The Duchess of Sussex sat down for an in-studio interview with the talk show host in Los Angeles. She not only shared intimate stories about her son Archie and daughter Lilibet but also spoke about her happy life in California with Harry. The interview was nothing like what the world had witnessed eight months ago with Oprah Winfrey.

Her last sit down with Oprah had shaken the grounds of the royal family and was as controversial as it could get. As compared to that, the show with Ellen was rather boring and dull. If rumours were to be believed, it is because the duchess plans on entering US politics. As such, the lowkey happy show with Ellen could just be a part of a PR campaign.
PR Campaign
Meghan and Harry have been keeping a pretty low profile ever since their Oprah interview. However, the power couple often surfaces back to the news for their philanthropic work. This has led people to believe that the Duchesses might have ulterior motives. That is, Meghan is allegedly on a ‘PR campaign,’ according to Andrew Eborn of Octopus TV. In his conversation with GB News, he claimed
She's on a PR campaign. I can tell you here and now she will be wanting to enter politics in the states.
I wouldn't be surprised if she's going to be our first US President and she could be looking at that side as well. She's certainly on an interesting PR campaign.
New Face of US politics
While these may just be speculations about Meghan’s motives, her generosity and charity towards political issues of the US do coincide with the allegation. It comes as the Duchess of Sussex has stated that she will do ‘everything’ to ensure that Americans have paid family leave. Even on the Ellen show, she stated,
The US is the only country in the world that does not have a paid federal family leave programme.
Meghan took it upon herself to lobby Republican politicians for paid parental leave and a US government climate strategy. She further added,
I will do everything I can to make sure we can implement that for people.
The Duchess of Sussex also called US senators like Shelley Moore Capito and Susan Collins. Reportedly, she is anticipated to make more of these calls.
