Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been very private about their home life since leaving the Royal Family in 2020. Indeed, the couple stepped down as working royals and moved to the US.

Shortly after their move, Prince Harry and Meghan sat for an interview with Oprah Winfrey, sharing their side of the story about life as working royals. The interview has since been considered a bombshell, and neither has given such in-depth interviews since.
However, that has all changed as the Duchess of Sussex agreed to an interview with People which the media has labelled 'her most intimate interview in years.' This interview is different; instead of focusing on the Royal Family, she focuses on herself, her life with Prince Harry, and their two children.
Meghan Markle reignited ‘the honeymoon phase’
During her interview with People, Meghan revealed that her relationship with Prince Harry has returned to the ‘honeymoon period again’ as she takes up creative projects once more. Indeed, the mum-of-two filmed a cooking series With Love, Meghan for Netflix, which aired on March 4.
The Netflix series is almost a nod to the former actress’s blog The Tig, which she first launched in 2014. However, when her relationship with Prince Harry became serious, she gave it up.
My husband met me when I had The Tig, and I see this spark in his eye when he sees me doing the thing that I was doing when he first met me.
It’s almost like a honeymoon period again, because it’s exactly how it was in the beginning when he’d watch me scribbling away, writing newsletters, fine-tuning edits, and just really being in the details of it.
I think he loves watching as much as I love doing that creative process. It’s just been fun. This is who I’ve always been.
Moreover, the Duchess of Sussex is also launching her own brand, As Ever. When she first launched her lifestyle brand, it was called American Riviera Orchard.
Meghan Markle on being a Sussex
Not only does Meghan talk about her work achievements, but she also gives a rare insight into life at home in Montecito with Prince Harry and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
During the interview, she specifically mentions the importance the name Sussex has for her and her family. She told People that when she was first given the title Sussex by the late Queen Elizabeth in 2018 for her wedding, she didn’t realise the significance it would hold.
It’s our shared name as a family, and I guess I hadn’t recognised how meaningful that would be to me until we had children.
Meghan explains that she ‘loves’ the fact they have something they all—Harry and the children—share together, adding that it is ‘part of our love story’.
Meghan also gives a small glimpse of her role as a mother and a wife. She told the magazine that she loves to make food for her family; it is her ‘love language’. When she can, she makes breakfast for everyone.
I’m up before my kids are, so I’m normally up at 6:30, and then I get them up and dressed for the day, and we go downstairs. I love making breakfast for my family.
Breakfast will vary depending on the time available, but she admits Prince Harry and Archie both love fried eggs. However, some mornings there’s only time for ‘a frozen waffle in the toaster’.
